Hand-thrown with a medium-thin subtle conical curve, honouring one of many historical Chawan forms of Chinese, Korean & Japanese pottery. Cobalt with iron decorative painting plays at European Traditional patterns; this tea-bowl  invites aesthetic contemplation of the beauty and interference in surface vs. form. Its delicate rim edge showcases an exagerated 'saddle' eliptical sag. This bowl features a food-safe clear glaze, exposing a granular tan claybody with mica grog. Suited for summer matcha whisking, this bowl serves well in any culinary or decorative setting.
