PHANTOM LIMONAIRE
Phantom Limonaire is the latest musical project of Canadian musician Rebecca McHugh, with V.F.O. DEMO released in February 2025.
Two demo tracks combine the familiar drum stylings of Reb (formerly of Body Lens, Participation, Internet Love), with vocal and guitar performances, and written arrangements that convey a larger scope of her musical interests.The songs resulted from pondering unconscious connection, automatons, and fairground organs.

MUSIC BIOGRAPHY
Starting in 2010 in Medicine Hat, AB, I found involvement in my local, DIY-music scene as a show attender, then booker and promoter as a member of non-profit Terrific Kids Artist Collective (TKAC), with the purpose of promoting local, niche musical artists. We organized tons of live music events in Alberta from 2011 - 2020, supporting, curating, promoting and releasing music for a handful of Canadian artists.
I’ve performed music (primarily self-taught) as a drummer/percussionist and co-songwriter, and played drums with 4 collaborative/group musical acts between 2014-2022 around Canada. My endeavours led me to co-writing and recording original musical compositions, performing live countless times, earning places on !earshot campus and community charts, as well as recognition and accolades from musical peers and journalists. Notable performances with previous music groups include Canada Music Week in Toronto (2019) and Sled Island Music and Arts Festival in Calgary (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022).
In late 2022, I completed my formal education at the University of Lethbridge (MSc. Neuroscience ‘22) and spent many months travelling around western Canada, eventually settling in SK in 2023.
In 2025, I started a new musical project, Phantom Limonaire, performing and self-recording vocals, guitar, drums, keyboard and arranging, mixing and mastering tracks (as rough cut demos) for digital release February 2025.
